Account Information: When you create a CampMatch account, we collect your name, email address, and password.

Child Profile Information: To provide personalized camp recommendations, we collect your child's first name, age, grade, interests, budget range, and preferred distance from home. This information is provided voluntarily by the parent or guardian.

Booking & Reservation Data: When you reserve a camp spot, we record the camp selected, reservation date, and status.

Usage Data: We may collect information about how you interact with the app, such as camps viewed, searches performed, and features used, to improve our recommendations.

Device Information: We may collect basic device information (device type, operating system) for app performance and troubleshooting purposes.

CampMatch collects limited information about children (first name, age, grade, interests) solely to power camp recommendations. This information is:

• Entered by a parent or guardian, not the child
• Never sold or shared with third-party advertisers
• Used only to personalize camp suggestions within the app
• Deletable at any time through your account settings

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information without parental consent, please contact us immediately at privacy@campmatch.app and we will delete it promptly.

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Generate personalized camp recommendations based on your child's profile
• Process and track camp reservations
• Send reservation confirmations and important account notifications
• Improve our app's features, search results, and recommendations
• Respond to your questions or support requests
• Ensure the security and integrity of our platform

We do not use your data for targeted advertising. CampMatch does not display third-party ads.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information only in these circumstances:

• With camp organizers: When you reserve a spot, we share your name and contact information with that specific camp so they can confirm your reservation
• Service providers: We use Supabase (database and authentication) and may use email delivery services. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users
• Business transfers: If CampMatch is acquired or merges with another company, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides encrypted storage, row-level security, and industry-standard access controls. All data is stored in the United States.

We implement reasonable security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication, and access controls to protect your information. However, no system is 100% secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information through your account settings
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Portability: Request your data in a portable format
• Opt-out of notifications: Manage push notification preferences in your device settings

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@campmatch.app. We will respond within 30 days.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings, which will permanently remove your profile and child information.

Reservation records may be retained for up to 2 years for legal and dispute resolution purposes, after which they are permanently deleted.

CampMatch uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and storage (Privacy Policy)
• Apple App Store — app distribution; subject to Apple's privacy practices
• Expo / React Native — app framework; analytics may be collected for crash reporting

CampMatch may contain links to third-party camp websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those external sites.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify you via email or an in-app notice for significant changes.

Your continued use of CampMatch after any changes means you accept the updated policy.
